Cake Walk

Down memory lane, and most landmarks will feature a cake. Birthdays, holidays, and weddings, we usually share a confection. The layer cake sometimes resembles a temple. Its mountain-like shape is found in the ceremonies of many cultures, the cake is consumed in a brief moment, an ephemeral taste of sweetness. And, then there is Miss Havisham and her cobweb covered delight.

Exhibited as “Cake Walk” at Hotel Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI, 1997.
